William W. has a diverse range of work experience in government affairs and law. William started their career as an Associate at Winston & Strawn LLP in 1996, and later worked as Assistant Counsel to the Speaker in the Illinois House of Representatives. William then moved on to the United States Senate, where they served as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Carl Levin and later as Counsel for the Subcommittee on Oversight, Restructuring and D.C. During their time in the Senate, they drafted briefs, analyzed bills, and advised on various policy issues. In 2003, William became a Fellow at the Robert Bosch Stiftung, where they contributed to policy discussions around German-U.S. relations. William then joined Baker & Hostetler LLP, initially as an Associate and later as a Partner. In their role as a Partner, they executed complex government relations assignments, including PR and messaging, relationship building, and leveraging trade association influence. Currently, they are Vice President, Government Affairs & Associate General Counsel at Public Broadcasting Service, where they represent PBS before Congress and the Executive Branch.

William W.'s education history includes an AB degree in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross. William also attended Saint Ignatius College Prep., the University of Reading, and the University of Notre Dame, where they obtained a JD degree. Additionally, they hold a certification in Certified Information Privacy Professional from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals.
