Tonya Zelinsky

Tonya Zelinsky currently serves as a Senior Communications Specialist at PCL Construction, starting in April 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Specialist in Community Engagement and Social Performance at Hatch from August 2021 to March 2024, where expertise in Indigenous rights holder engagement and strategy development was demonstrated, including co-authoring papers for the Canadian Nuclear Society on Indigenous engagement in nuclear energy. Tonya also worked as a Communications Specialist at the Alberta Energy Regulator from December 2020 to August 2021, and held positions at the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers as Advisor in media relations and issues management, and Interim Manager of Media Relations and Issues Management. Previously, as a Canada and Alaska correspondent for Upstream, The International Oil & Gas Newspaper from September 2008 to April 2017, deep coverage of the upstream oil and gas industry was provided. Educational credentials include a certificate in Indigenous relations from Indigenous Corporate Training and a degree in Journalism from Mount Royal University.
