Michael Kan

Michael Kan is a seasoned technology reporter with over 15 years of experience in various roles. Currently serving as a Senior Reporter at PCMag.com since October 2017, Michael specializes in breaking news coverage. Prior roles include Cybersecurity/Tech Reporter at IDG News Service, where coverage focused on cybersecurity and IT privacy issues from June 2016 to May 2017, and Beijing Correspondent from July 2010 to September 2015, covering the IT industry in China. Michael began a freelance writing career after moving to China in September 2008, contributing articles on archaeology, and started as a community news reporter for The Kansas City Star from February 2006 to April 2008. Michael holds a B.A. in History and Asian Studies from the University of Michigan and has also studied at Tsinghua University.
