Katelyn Smith

Katelyn Smith is a Project Engineer at PCS Structural Solutions since September 2021. Katelyn has a diverse engineering background, including research experience at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where nonlinear analysis of a 2D lightly reinforced concrete frame was conducted in ETABS according to ASCE 41-17. Previous roles include engineering internship positions at SMG Engineers, Inc., and VISION Consulting Engineers and Planners Ltd, NZ, where Katelyn focused on bridge design and geotechnical testing, respectively. Katelyn also gained valuable experience as a teaching assistant at George Fox University and held internship positions at Diode Laser Concepts Inc and Jackson County Expo prior to entering the engineering field. Katelyn holds a Master of Science in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from George Fox University.
