Steven Chou

Steven Chou is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in designing and implementing complex systems. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at Principal Development Group Consulting since April 2018, Steven crafted a recommendation and ranking system utilizing Apache Spark, Neo4j, and Amazon EMR, while modernizing legacy infrastructure through the implementation of Amazon ECS and adopting Infrastructure as Code practices with Terraform. Previously, as a Senior Software Engineer at Cast & Crew Entertainment Services from January 2010 to March 2018, Steven architected a digital purchase order system and designed an API Gateway with OAuth 2 services, advocating for Test Driven Development and leading the transformation of a monolithic Java EE system into a microservices architecture. Steven holds two Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
