Marcus Thompson

Marcus Thompson has a diverse professional background, currently serving as an Overseas Support Specialist with the Peace Corps since February 2019. Prior experience includes a role as a Physical Education Teacher at Manassas Park City Schools from October 2016 to January 2019, and as a Patient Services Assistant at Physio, where responsibilities included verifying health insurance benefits and coordinating with primary care physicians. Marcus also worked as a Physical Therapy Technician at Rehab Associates of Central Virginia, assisting patients with therapeutic exercises. Additionally, leadership skills were developed as Club Basketball President at Lynchburg College, overseeing budget proposals and fundraising efforts, and as a Resident Assistant, facilitating community-building programs. Marcus holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Lynchburg.
