Peter Hess

Peter Hess has extensive experience in the fields of chemistry and education. Currently serving as a Program Specialist for IT and Special Projects at the Peace Corps since October 2011, Peter has also previously held roles as a Program Support Assistant and Secondary School Science Teacher, where teaching chemistry and physics to secondary students in a rural school in Kenya was a key responsibility. Prior experience includes working as a Research Chemist at Materials Modification, Inc., where Peter developed solid-state reaction procedures and explored novel material preparation techniques, and serving as an Undergraduate Researcher at the David C. Johnson Laboratory, focusing on the fabrication of thin-film nanomaterials. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Oregon.
