Ruth Murphy

Ruth Murphy has extensive experience in management and operations, currently serving as the Director of Management and Operations at the Peace Corps since January 2022. Prior roles include a long tenure at the U.S. Department of State, starting in October 2005 as a Management Program Analyst and eventually becoming a Senior Advisor for Special Projects and Events. Ruth also worked as a Project Manager at Seamon Corporation from 2002 to 2005 and as a Meeting Planner at JBS International, Inc. from 1999 to 2001. Academic qualifications include an M.S. in Public Relations and Communications from the University of Maryland Global Campus, obtained between 2004 and 2007, and a high school education at Princess Margaret Secondary from 1981 to 1987.
