William Plummer is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public administration and agricultural programs. Currently serving as Chief Administrative Officer at the Peace Corps since January 2023, Plummer previously held the role of Division Manager in the Budget Department at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation from April 2022 to January 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing the formulation and execution of a $7.2 billion budget. From January 2016 to April 2022, Plummer worked as a Foreign Service Officer at the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, managing significant agricultural programming and a trilateral commission with the governments of the United States, Mexico, and Guatemala. An alumnus of the Harvard Kennedy School, Plummer holds an Executive Certificate in Public Policy and also earned a Master's degree in American Studies from Georgetown University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from North Carolina State University.
