Tom James

Tom James brings extensive experience in product development and engineering, currently serving as Head of Product and Head of Engineering at Peak Design since August 2016, following a role as Co-founder at Apollo Hearing. Previously, Tom worked as a Product Development Engineer at Lime Lab, where key projects included designing mechanisms for a Fortune 100 company's hot beverage product and a wireless flow sensor for a global water charity. Earlier roles include Mechanical Engineer at Alloy Product Development, and fabrication and design of kinetic sculptures with Beeman Artworks. Tom also served as a Teaching Assistant at Stanford PRL, ensuring safe machine use while instructing mechanical engineering students. Educational credentials include an MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
