Simon Teppett

Simon Teppett has a vast and varied work experience spanning over several decades. Simon started their career as an IT Manager at Mitsubishi Trust & Banking Corporation in London from 1992 to 1997.

Following that, they joined British Sky Broadcasting Ltd in 1997 and held the role of Head of Technical Services + New Media Technology. During their tenure, they played a crucial role in the design and delivery of various systems for the Sky Digital launch. Simon also led the New Media Technology team, where they developed interactive "red button" apps, built and ran the infrastructure for the Sky websites, and delivered technical resources for the websites. Additionally, they spearheaded the launch of the SkyNow ISP and introduced mobile engagement with a live score service.

In the year 2000, Simon Teppett became the VP Technology at chello Broadband Ltd (UPC), overseeing software development, infrastructure, and support teams. Under their leadership, the company developed and operated 13 national broadband portals, managed content partner integration, and built the infrastructure for the launch of 5 digital TV networks. They also delivered various set-top box applications including EPG, VOD, and interactive TV services.

From 2004 to 2007, they served as the CTO at Two Way Media Ltd, where they were responsible for all software development, QA, infrastructure, and broadcast operations. During this time, their team delivered "Red Button" applications, operational platforms, and fully outsourced services to leading broadcasters.

Simon Teppett then joined Betfair as the Head of Mobile and TV technology in 2008. Simon established the internal mobile technology team and delivered world-class mobile sports betting products. Their teams were located in Romania, Portugal, and London.

In 2014, they became the CTO of NEKTAN, responsible for software architecture, development process, infrastructure, technical operations, and security. Simon was personally licensed by UKGC for the company's technology.

Simon Teppett then moved to TUI in 2015 as the Head of Mobile Hub, responsible for delivering TUI Digital Assistant mobile and tablet apps for international businesses. Simon also managed a middleware abstraction layer to handle unique underlying platforms in different markets.

In 2016, they joined The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as the Mobile Application CoE Lead, where they built a new team responsible for mobile app and platform architecture. Simon established best practice guidelines and developed a cloud-based mobile platform with enterprise-grade security and reliability.

Simon Teppett currently works as the Software Operations Director at M-NETICS LIMITED since 2018, overseeing software operations for the company.
