John Curran

John Curran serves as the COO and Laboratory Director at Pear Bio as of January 2024. Previously, John held leadership roles including Laboratory Director and VP of Laboratory Operations at BostonGene from August 2019 to January 2024, where strategic direction was provided in launching a CLIA laboratory. Prior to this, John directed laboratory and facilities operations at Neon Therapeutics from June 2015 to August 2019, overseeing external vendor operations for clinical trials. John also served as the Director of Central Laboratory at Foundation Medicine between October 2010 and June 2015, leading the expansion of CLIA lab operations. Early career experience includes serving as Director of Laboratory Operations at Correlagen Diagnostics, contributing to the development of next generation sequencing products, and working as Scientist II at Athena Diagnostics. John holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Glasgow and an MBA in Business Administration from Clark University.
