Teddy Hartman

Teddy Hartman is a seasoned professional in privacy and data governance with extensive experience in the education sector. Currently serving as the Head of Privacy & Trust at GoGuardian and Pear Deck Learning since December 2020, Teddy leads initiatives focused on privacy, AI governance, and operational design across product lines. Previously, as the Director of Strategy and Data Privacy for Howard County Public Schools from August 2014 to November 2020, Teddy developed a comprehensive student data privacy program benefiting nearly 60,000 students. Additional roles include Co-Chair for the National School Privacy Leaders at The Future of Privacy Forum and consultant positions within the Maryland General Assembly and Washington DC Public Schools. Teddy's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Columbia University and two Master of Arts degrees from Claremont Graduate University, alongside an Advanced Graduate Specialist degree from the University of Maryland.
