Gary Li

Gary Li is a fellow at Pear VC, where efforts are focused on supporting biotech founders as of October 2023. Concurrently, Gary serves as a PhD student and researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in epigenetic editing under the guidance of Fyodor Urnov. Previous experience includes teaching a course on Drug Delivery at Harvard Medical School and conducting research on drug delivery modalities at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where management of three technicians was part of the role. Additionally, Gary co-founded Hyalex Orthopaedics Inc. and was instrumental in developing a patented polymer aimed at cartilage replacement. Education includes pursuing dual PhDs in Bioengineering from both the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of California, San Francisco, with an expected completion in 2027.
