Hayden Smith has a diverse range of work experience. Hayden co-founded Pearler Investments in 2018, where they worked as the CTO and led a team of developers to build the company's website and data systems. Hayden also co-founded CompareMeals in 2015 and served as the CTO, overseeing software development and business management.

Additionally, Hayden worked at UNSW Computer Science and Engineering as a casual academic, tutor, and lecturer from 2013 to 2020. During this time, they were also involved in various roles at UNSW Solar Racing Team Sunswift, including team manager for race operations and strategy, compliance manager, and project and technical manager.
