Amie Plourde is an experienced leader in educational publishing, currently serving as the Director of Portfolio Management at Pearson since December 2018. In this role, Amie oversees a team of 16, driving product strategies to deliver innovative learning resources tailored for Canadian educators and students. Prior to Pearson, Amie held various positions at Nelson from July 2003 to December 2018, culminating in the role of Executive Director of Digital Solutions, where Amie managed a digital portfolio exceeding $30 million across multiple platforms. Amie's career at Nelson also included strategic development of educational products, sales achievements, and market research initiatives that significantly informed product development. Amie holds a BA in History from Queen's University, completed between 1996 and 2000.
