David Lyons

David Lyons currently serves as the Vice President of Asia for Pearson, leading the English Language Learning and Assessment business across the region. Previously, they were the Executive Director of Pearson Australia, guiding the company through significant structural changes and business transformations. With a strong background in finance, they held positions such as CFO for Pearson Asia Pacific and Finance Director for Pearson UK School and Vocational Qualifications. David’s career began in the UK, where they trained as a chartered accountant and gained experience across various sectors including education, automotive, and energy. They are pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce and have furthered their education with leadership programs at Ashridge Executive Education.
