Gillian Peak has served as Subject Manager for English Reading at Pearson since January 2013, where responsibilities include leading the development of National Curriculum Assessments. Previously, Gillian held the role of Assessment Content Operations Manager for Geography and Science, overseeing the production of assessment content for various subjects and ensuring compliance with quality standards. As Subject Leader, oversight included exam series management and the accuracy of assessment materials for GCSE and International GCSE qualifications in English Language and Literature. Earlier experience as Content Production Manager involved project management for Functional Skills English tests within Pearson Qualification Services. Gillian's professional background also includes freelance copywriting for marketing agencies. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environmental Science from The Open University and a Master of Arts in Translation, Writing, and Cultural Difference from the University of Warwick, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in English and French from the same institution.
