Hamsa Hassan

Hamsa Hassan is a globally renowned thought leader in data protection, information security, and AI, with over a decade of experience, currently serving as Head of Cyber Risk at Pearson. Previously, Hamsa held key positions such as Director of Information Security at NHS and Security and Compliance Senior Manager at Lloyds Banking Group. Hamsa co-founded Myrrh Tree Education and Consulting, focusing on providing access and support to individuals from vulnerable backgrounds. Additionally, Hamsa is involved with the IEEE as an Adviser, working on global standards for ethical AI, while also being a member of the AI Governance Alliance at the World Economic Forum. Currently, Hamsa is pursuing studies in Data Privacy and Technology at Harvard University and Cybersecurity and Executive Strategy at Stanford University.
