John Larwood

John Larwood, PhD, has 21 years of leadership, management, and teaching experience in mathematics at independent senior schools. Currently, they serve as the Principal Examiner and Content Author for IGCSE Mathematics at Pearson, as well as Team Leader and Expert Examiner for Edexcel. With 10 years of previous experience in academic research and undergraduate teaching, they have published over a dozen scientific articles on topics such as astrophysical dynamics, hydrodynamics, and mathematical modeling, including collaborations with ESA and NASA. Additionally, John works as an Academic Assistant at Bancroft's School. They completed their education at Queen Mary, University of London, from 1991 to 1994.
