Kimberli Smith

Kimberli Smith is a seasoned educational professional with extensive experience in curriculum development and assessment design. Currently serving as a Senior Curriculum Director at Imagine Learning since May 2021, Kimberli previously held positions as a Curriculum Framework Specialist and Content Producer at Newsela from August 2019 to May 2021. As an Independent Contractor between June 2012 and May 2021, Kimberli collaborated with prominent organizations such as Educational Testing Services and New Frontiers Charter School as a freelance assessment and curriculum writer. Kimberli’s earlier career includes roles at Pearson as an Assessment Design Specialist and High School Social Studies Teacher, along with teaching positions at Northeast ISD, Northside ISD, and Advantage Academy. Kimberli holds a Master's degree in History from the University of California, Davis, an Associate's degree in History from Modesto Junior College, and a Bachelor's degree with a focus on History, Social Sciences, and Religious Studies from the University of the Pacific.
