Mark D. Johnson

Mark D. Johnson is the VP of Career & Credentialing Platforms at Pearson, where they currently lead the digital badges strategy. They specialize in creating and growing new ventures in the professional/career, workforce, and PK-20 education markets, focusing on digital badge systems, credential management, and student ePortfolios. Mark previously served on the Strategy and Innovation team in Pearson K-12 Technology and held various leadership roles within Pearson, including product management and business development. As an experienced entrepreneur in web technology and education, they co-founded Highwired and the National Transcript Center. Mark earned an MBA in Entrepreneurship/Marketing from Babson College and a BA in History/English from The University of Texas at Austin.
