Mark Venables

Mark Venables has extensive experience in the field of physics education and examination. Currently serving as Principal Examiner for IGCSE Physics at Pearson since May 2012, Mark is responsible for writing examination papers, developing assessment materials, and overseeing grading processes. Mark has also held roles as Team Leader Examiner for physics papers and Lead Examiner for A2 Physics at OCR, where responsibilities included finalizing mark schemes. At Norwich School, Mark has contributed to promoting physics in Norfolk as both a Teacher of Physics and Head of Physics, while also serving as Head of Science. With a background that includes an Assistant Principal Examiner position at Edexcel & Pearson UK and a role in curriculum development at Haberdashers' Girls' School, Mark’s educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Elementary Particle Physics and a PGCE in Science: Physics teaching.
