Veronica Benigno

Veronica Benigno is a Principal Research Scientist at Pearson, contributing to the Global Scale of English and Efficacy & Learning Research teams since August 2012, where responsibilities encompass synthesizing research for product development, implementing evidence-based learning design, and overseeing external research projects. Prior to Pearson, Veronica served as a Researcher/Lexicographer at Italned Olanda, collaborating with esteemed scholars to create a comprehensive dictionary of Italian collocations, and worked as a Linguist/Annotator at Basis Technology Corporation on an Italian Named Entity Extraction project. Educational qualifications include a European PhD in Applied Linguistics from University of Grenoble, Amsterdam Vrije University, and University of Palermo, complemented by guest researcher positions in linguistics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Universiteit van Amsterdam.
