Wil Nelson

Wil Nelson has a long history of working in digital roles. Wil began their career in 1997 as a Senior Leader for Business Solutions and Program Manager for Software Development at GE Corporate Initiatives Group. In this role, they were a key contributor to the development, rollout, and rapid expansion of SupportCentral. Wil also created original communities of practice from which employees could receive support on IT topics. Wil then moved on to become the Intranet Executive Producer at GE, where they led the team that set the vision, managed the development, and rolled out the organization's first global Intranet. Wil also managed software development and design standards for GE's entire global intranet. In 2008, they joined NBC Universal as the Director of Technology, where they led new product development and growth of existing properties, centered around a portfolio of consumer facing sites. Wil then moved on to General Electric in 2010, where they were the IT Leader for Digital Collaboration and led the launch of GE Colab, GE's largest and fastest growing enterprise social software platform. Wil then joined GE Digital in 2014 as a Senior Digital Strategist, where they devised and implemented digital strategies for various high profile web properties within the enterprise. Finally, they joined Peaxy, Inc. in 2019 as the Digital Marketing Director.

Wil Nelson attended Connecticut College where they earned a B.A. in Medieval History. Wil also took several professional development courses at the Jack Welch Center for Leadership Development.
