Afik Bar

Afik Bar is a seasoned professional in machine learning and software engineering, currently serving as the Machine Learning Team Lead and Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Pecan AI since July 2022. Prior experience includes a stint as a Machine Learning Engineer at BeyondMinds, where responsibilities encompassed engineering research algorithms into production, and at Optimove, contributing to scalable data services. Afik has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, focusing on Distributed Databases and Data Gathering Lab, and held engineering roles in the Israel Ministry of Defense and Israel Defense Forces, specializing in Geographic Information Systems. Afik began a career as a System & Website Administrator at Donatelo Promotional Display. With a Bachelor of Science in Data Science from Technion and further education in Data Processing from the University of Toronto, Afik combines academic expertise with diverse industry experience.
