Pediatrix Medical Group (PMG), Caribbean Region, initiated its medical services in Puerto Rico in 1992, specializing in Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units (NICU/PICU), Newborn Units (NBN), high-risk deliveries, and cesarean sections (C/S).

 
Over the years, our organization has expanded its services to include six Neonatal Intensive Care Units, three Pediatric Intensive Care Units, five Newborn Nurseries, one Pediatric Emergency Rooms (PES), one Adult Emergency Room (AES), and three Pediatric Hospitalist services, consistently achieving exceptional clinical outcomes.

To ensure the fulfillment of our mission in each unit, we have a team of sub-specialist doctors who are specifically trained in Neonatal Intensive Care Units and/or Pediatric Intensive Care Units. These sub-specialists supervise and guide our dedicated Pediatricians, General Practitioners, and Emergency Physicians who collectively contribute to the comprehensive care we offer in our Adult and Pediatric Emergency Rooms.
