John Gallo

John Gallo is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend development and mentoring. Currently serving as a Software Engineer Backend at PedidosYa since October 2025, John also contributes as a Mentor at TRIBU Tech Latam. Previously, John held the position of Tech Lead and Backend Engineer at Level Up from March 2025 to September 2025 and worked as a Backend Engineer at Bunker db® from March 2022 to April 2025. John’s professional journey began at Avanza Externalización de Servicios, where John worked as a Full Stack Developer from December 2014 to March 2022. Educationally, John holds an Analista Programador degree from Universidad ORT Uruguay, completed in July 2023, and a Programador Web degree from the same institution, alongside a Técnico en Redes y Software credential from UTU - Dirección General de Educación Técnico - Profesional, obtained in December 2019.
