Sonya Denton, BA, MBA, is the Founder and CEO of Peer Circle App, a privacy-first mobile social community platform dedicated to providing safe, real-time beauty and wellness chat spaces for young adults. Previously known as weDstll, the platform underwent a strategic pivot in 2023 to better serve its audience. With extensive experience in the media sector, Sonya has held positions such as TV Journalist at CBC/Radio-Canada and TV Anchor/Journalist at CTV News, where strong storytelling and stakeholder management skills were demonstrated. Additionally, involvement with organizations like CFC Media Lab and Innovation Guelph showcases a commitment to promoting women-led enterprises and supporting entrepreneurial endeavors. Sonya holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and various certificates in product management and media reporting.
