Michael Girty

Michael Girty has over a decade of experience in various roles focused on support and coordination for individuals with mental health needs. Currently serving as a Boxing Instructor at Wpal since March 2020 and contributing to Peerstar LLC in multiple capacities since April 2015, including Certified Peer Specialist and Supervisor, as well as Forensic Peer Support Specialist, Michael Girty also held a position as CRS at Clearfield Jefferson Drug and Alcohol Commission from October 2018 to March 2020. Prior experience includes serving as Housing Coordinator for Hope Homes at Center for Community Resources, Inc. from September 2016 to March 2020 and Team Leader at InVisions Human Services from November 2009 to May 2013. Michael Girty earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Penn State University between 2002 and 2006.
