PeerZone was developed by Mary O'Hagan and Sara McCook Weir, both of whom have lived experience of mental distress and of working to improve the lives of their peers.

The PeerZone employees, coordinators and associates use their lived experience of mental distress or addiction to inform their work and change the world.

PeerZone now operates in Australia, Canada and the USA - as well as New Zealand.
