Janet McDaniel

Janet McDaniel has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Janet started their career at Rainier National Bank as a Customer Service representative from 1985 to 1987. In 1987, they joined PEMCO as a Claim Adjuster and quickly advanced to various leadership positions. Janet served as a Claim Supervisor and Auto Physical Damage Manager from 1990 to 1996, followed by a role as a Regional Claim Service Center Manager from 1996 to 1998. From 1999 to 2002, Janet worked as a Claim Operations Transition Manager, overseeing the smooth transition of claim operations. Janet then became a Claim Director at PEMCO from 2002 to 2019, where they had a direct reporting relationship with the Chief Operations Officer. In this role, they were responsible for managing division managers, strategic planning, budgeting processes, staffing, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Janet led corporate initiatives to improve loss cost results and implemented quality assurance programs resulting in a reduction of the combined ratio. Janet McDaniel has a diverse education history. In 1979, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Western Washington University, which they attended until 1984. In 1993, Janet received a CPCU certificate from Charter Property Casualty Underwriters. Continuing their education, they completed the Management Program and earned a Certificate in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Washington - Michael G.
