Mindy Pearson

Mindy Pearson has worked in the education field since 1998. Mindy began their career as a Middle School Science Teacher for Hillsborough County Public Schools. From 2011 to 2015, they worked as a Certified Trainer for ExploreLearning. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Regional STEM Implementation Specialist and Independent Contractor & Certified Trainer for STEMscopes by Accelerate Learning, Inc. During this time they also wrote and provided professional development for the MSP grant for Bay and Escambia County Public Schools. From 2016 to 2020, they worked as Senior Director of Content and Learning for Penda Learning. In 2020, they transitioned to a full time position with Hillsborough County Public Schools as a Science DRT, Academic Services. During their time there, they served 10 of the highest need high schools in the district, and also served as a site-based science coach at a Renaissance school.

Mindy Pearson attended Florida State University from 1993 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Biological Sciences, General and a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Science Education. Mindy then went on to the University of South Florida from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained their Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General. In 2015, they obtained a Florida Professional Educator's Certificate from the Florida Department of Education in Educational Leadership (All Levels), Middle Grades General Science 5-9, and Biology 6-12.
