Mark Brown has a diverse work experience in various industries. Mark started their career in 2000 as a Partner at True North Partners, a private equity firm. Mark then co-founded ID Advocates in 2005, which was later acquired by Merchants Information Systems in 2008. Mark also worked as an Investor and Operator at Connected Benefits from 2014 to 2018. In 2006, they joined MVenture Partners as a Principal, where they focused on investment business strategy and execution, as well as product ideation and development. In 2015, Mark founded Advisor Armor, a cybersecurity compliance-consulting provider. Mark also served as a Special Assistant to Program and Head Basketball Coach Eric Musselman at the University of Nevada, Reno from 2015 to 2019. In addition, Mark co-founded and invested in Pendella, a white-label software company for consumer life and disability insurance. Lastly, they invented WetMitt, a product that improves basketball shooting technique. Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial spirit, strategic thinking, and a passion for basketball.
Mark Brown earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Western Michigan University - Haworth College of Business between 1986 and 1990. In 1992, they participated in the Executive Program at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, specializing in International Management.
