Product Engineering Manager at Penguin Solutions

Ken Yu has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Ken started their career as an Engineering Intern at the Sacramento Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant in 2003. After that, they joined Supermicro in 2006, where they held the positions of Sr. Application Engineer and later became a Product Manager. In these roles, they focused on product training and maintenance by creating training materials and providing support to internal sales and customer service teams. Ken then moved to Penguin Computing in 2014, working as a Project Test Engineer and eventually becoming the Product Engineering Manager. In this role, they ensured the quality of system solutions in both hardware and software and supported marketing and production teams.

Ken Yu earned a Certificate in CCNA (Switching & Routing) from Cisco in 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at California State University-Sacramento from 2003 to 2006. From 2001 to 2003, Ken studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Sacramento City College, although they did not earn a degree. In 2022, they obtained a Certificated RHCSA RHEL8 from RedHat. Ken also holds additional certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), and CCNA.
