Mechanical Lead Structures and Cutterhead

Alexander Mejia is a third-year mechanical engineering student at the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in logistics, materials, healthcare, infrastructure, and energy systems. Alexander has served as a Research Fellow in the Laboratory for Research on the Structure of Matter, engaging in detailed analysis of mechanical properties of bone. Currently, Alexander leads the Mechanical and Structures team for the Penn Hyperloop project, aiming to innovate Tunnel Boring Machines. Additionally, Alexander has experience as a STEM instructor and has participated in research internships focusing on healthcare and consumer goods. Fluent in English and Spanish, with proficiency in German, Alexander is passionate about technology, science, and learning.
