Chandima Subasinghe

Chandima Subasinghe is an accomplished professional in the field of Energy and Mineral Engineering, currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at Penn State University since August 2022, with a focus on minerals processing and metallurgy. Chandima has taught courses including Mineral Processing Engineering and Extractive Metallurgy. As of January 2024, Chandima serves as a representative for the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration Inc.'s Mineral and Metallurgical Processing Division. Previous experience includes a role as a Metallurgical Engineer at Freeport-McMoRan, where responsibilities encompassed developing monitoring tools, standard operating procedures, and involvement in various ore processing techniques.
