Christopher Higgins has extensive experience in intellectual property law, particularly in patent litigation and patent prosecution with a focus on electrical and chemical technologies. Initial engineering work at L-3 Communications involved designing military fuzing systems. Following this, tenure at Ethicon Endo-Surgery included developing intellectual property portfolios related to minimally invasive surgical products. Christopher worked as an attorney at Jones Day before serving as an associate and co-head of the 3D Printing Practice at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where Christopher currently holds the position of partner. In addition to legal practice, an adjunct professorship at Penn State University allows Christopher to teach Legal Issues in Additive Manufacturing. Educational credentials include a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a JD from The George Washington University Law School.
