Daniel Larson

Daniel Larson is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in higher education, serving as the Verne M. Willaman Dean Emeritus and Professor Emeritus of Physics at Penn State University since August 2016. Larson's leadership roles include Rector and Chancellor at Yachay Tech University from January 2015 to August 2016, and Dean of the Eberly College of Science at Penn State University from 1998 to 2014. Prior academic positions include serving as Professor, Department Chair, and Associate Dean at the University of Virginia from 1978 to 1998, and holding the titles of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Harvard University from 1970 to 1978. Larson earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from Harvard University, where the studies spanned from 1966 to 1970, following a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Mathematics from St. Olaf College from 1962 to 1966.
