Kathryn Risher is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Penn State University since October 2022. Previously, Risher was a Postdoctoral Scholar at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine from November 2021 to October 2022 and a Research Fellow at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine from June 2017 to January 2021. Risher began a career in research at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, holding the position of Research Assistant from August 2011 to May 2017. Early career experiences include internships at the UCSF AIDS Health Project, Erie Family Health Center, and Global Service Corps, as well as a Research and Trade Support Internship at Spot Trading LLC. Risher holds a PhD in Infectious Disease Epidemiology, an MHS in Biostatistics, and another MHS in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, along with a BA in Biology and International Studies from Dartmouth College.
