Peter Buck

Associate Director Of Climate & Sustainability Education

Peter Buck serves as the Director of Education and Co-Director of the Local Climate Action Program at Penn State Sustainability since August 2022, where Peter collaborates with students and local government on climate initiatives. At Penn State University, Buck has held various roles, including Associate Director of Climate & Sustainability Education since October 2014, developing sustainability education programs and evaluating projects funded by the Reinvention Fund. Buck also holds leadership positions such as Director for the State College Area School District and Vice Chair for the Centre Region Council of Governments. As a Past President of the Pennsylvania Environmental Resource Consortium, Buck advocates for sustainability in higher education. Additional experience includes adjunct faculty at Drexel University's Charles D. Close School of Entrepreneurship and previous roles focusing on sustainability in educational settings. Buck earned a Ph.D. in Educational Theory and Policy from Penn State University, along with degrees in Music Theory and Composition.
