Ram Narayanan is an accomplished academic and leader in the field of electrical engineering, currently serving as the Director of the Center for Radar Engineering, Science, and Technology (CREST) at Pennsylvania State University since September 2003, where efforts focus on consolidating radar-related research and securing funding opportunities. Additionally, Narayanan holds the position of Director of the State College Area Radio Frequency (SCARF) Consortium, aimed at developing a high-tech hub for RF and wireless technologies in collaboration with local industry. Prior experience includes a long tenure at the University of Nebraska (Lincoln) from 1988 to 2003, culminating in the title of Blackman and Lederer Professor of Electrical Engineering, and a foundational role at the University of Massachusetts (Amherst) from 1983 to 1988.
