Randall McEntaffer is a distinguished academic in the field of astronomy and astrophysics, currently serving as Professor and Head of Astronomy & Astrophysics at Penn State University since July 2016. Prior to this role, McEntaffer held various positions at the University of Iowa, including Associate Professor from August 2014 to June 2016 and Assistant Professor from August 2008 to June 2014. An alumnus of the University of Colorado Boulder, McEntaffer earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Astrophysics, and also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics from the University of Iowa.
