Vishal Monga

Vishal Monga is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Pennsylvania State University, where they conduct research, teach, and contribute to service in the field. They previously served as an Assistant Professor and then an Associate Professor at Penn State from 2009 to 2015. Vishal has been a Visiting Researcher at Microsoft and also worked as an Imaging Scientist at Xerox, specializing in color imaging and video processing from 2007 to 2009. They held a Faculty Fellow position at the Air Force Research Laboratory in 2011 and were a Visiting Professor at the Università di Pisa from 2022 to 2023. Vishal earned their PhD in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2005.
