David Power

David Power currently serves as the Director of New Product Development at Pentair, starting in September 2023. Prior to this, David had a significant tenure at Apple from July 2018 to September 2023, where roles included Director of Operations for both Product Quality and Test Engineering. David’s experience also encompasses a substantial period at Cree from December 2010 to June 2018, progressing from Senior Director of Engineering to Director of Engineering for Consumer Lighting and Manager of Operations Engineering. Earlier in David's career, positions at Apple Inc. included Engineering Manager for Hardware Test Engineering and Technical Program Manager. David began at Sony Mobile Communications as a Senior Project Manager and Senior Staff Engineer (Mechanical) from December 2003 to December 2008, and started the professional journey at Mallett Technology as an Applications Engineer from April 1998 to November 2003. Academically, David holds an M.Phil in Mechanical Engineering obtained in 1997 and an M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering completed in 1996, both from the University of Strathclyde.
