Christopher Simon

Christopher Simon has a diverse work experience spanning 15 years. Christopher currently serves as an Army Reservist for the Australian Army since 2021. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as an Information Technology Infrastructure Manager and Senior System Administrator for Penten. From 2016 to 2020, they were a Consultant for Red Hat Asia Pacific, where they primarily worked as a services resident embedded into the Department of Defence in a dedicated Linux Platform team. From 2011 to 2016, they worked for the Department of Defence as an ICT Support Engineer and a Policy Officer. Christopher'sduties included monitoring and enforcing Formal Messaging standards, logging incident management details through ITSM tools, and delivering solutions to ICT incidents. Prior to this, they were a Duty Manager at Woolworths Limited from 2006 to 2011.

Christopher Simon's education history includes a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from RMIT University, which they completed in 2021. Christopher is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Cyber Security/Bachelor of Criminology from Deakin University, which they are expected to complete in 2023. In 2017, they earned a Diploma of Information Technology Networking from the Canberra Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2020. Christopher also holds a Master's Degree in National Security Policy Studies from The Australian National University, which they earned in 2016. In 2008, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International/Global Studies from Monash University. Christopher also holds a VCE from Haileybury College, which they earned in 2001. In addition to their educational qualifications, Christopher Simon holds several certifications, including ITIL Operation Support Analysis from PEOPLECERT (2015), ITIL V3 Foundations from PEOPLECERT (2014), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) from Red Hat (2020), Red Hat Certified Specialist in Virtualization from Red Hat (2020), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) RHEL 7 & 8 from Red Hat (2019), and Red Hat Certified Specialist in Deployment and Systems Management from Red Hat (2020).
