Derek Pell is a seasoned manufacturing engineering professional with extensive experience in the medical device industry, currently serving as Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering at Penumbra, Inc. since January 2019. In this role, Derek has spearheaded product transfer projects that generated over $11M in annual revenue in 2021 and acted as the key technical advisor on quality systems. Prior to this position, Derek held various engineering roles at Penumbra, including leading the startup of a new manufacturing facility and supporting high-volume catheter production. Derek's career also includes significant contributions at St. Jude Medical and UC Davis, where expertise in process validation, tooling transfer, and cross-functional project management was developed.
