Ryan Taylor

Ryan Taylor has a diverse range of work experience in various companies and roles. Ryan started their career as a Research Associate at Scripps Institute of Oceanography, where they planned, organized, and managed projects for the media department. Ryan then worked as a Clinical Laboratory Associate at Quest Diagnostics, performing extractions on tissue and serum samples and contributing to the development of standard operating procedures. At Illumina, Ryan served as a Quality Engineer and Supervisor, where they led quality initiatives for medical device manufacturing, implemented scorecards and audits, and implemented lean manufacturing principles. Ryan then joined Cepheid as a Sr. Supervisor, Quality Control, overseeing a team and optimizing quality systems. Ryan worked at GRAIL, Inc. as a Supplier Quality Engineer, managing the supplier quality program for a startup. Most recently, they worked at 10x Genomics as a Sr Supplier Quality Engineer, leading the supplier management program and managing the internal audit program. Starting in 2022, Ryan joined Penumbra, Inc. as a Principal Compliance Specialist.

Ryan Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego. In terms of additional certifications, they have completed the EU MDR Regulation 2017/745 Auditor Training from Exemplar Global, Inc. in 2022 and the ISO 13485:2016 Lead Auditor (TPECS) from BSI in 2018. Ryan is also a Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Supplier Quality Professional, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Six Sigma Green Belt, all obtained through ASQ.
