Dave Farber

Dave Farber is currently a Professor at Keio University in Tokyo, Japan, and Co-Director of the Cyber Civilization Research Center. They serve as an Adjunct Professor of Internet Studies at Carnegie Mellon University, where they held the title of Distinguished Career Professor of Computer Science and Public Policy until retirement. Previously, Dave was a Professor Emeritus at the University of Pennsylvania and has been a trustee at the Electronic Frontier Foundation since 1990. With extensive experience in telecommunications public policy and technology, their career includes significant roles at organizations like the RAND Corporation and the Federal Communications Commission. Dave holds an Honorary Doctor of Science in Networking from Stevens Institute of Technology, complementing a Master of Engineering in Electronics obtained in 1956.
