Michael Laing

Michael Laing has a total work experience of at least 11 years. Michael started their career at Lewis Group Ltd as a Head Office Internal Auditor from January 2011 to September 2014. Michael then joined Pepkor Africa as an Internal Auditor from October 2014 to September 2016 before transitioning to the role of Information Analyst from October 2016 to March 2018. In 2018, they moved on to Pepkor Holdings Limited, where they worked as an IT Auditor from an unknown start date to September 2019, then progressed to Senior IT Auditor from October 2019 to December 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Data Analyst at Pepkor Holdings Limited, starting from December 2021.

Michael Laing started their education at Brackenfell High School in 2006, where they completed their Senior Certificate. Michael then attended Cape Peninsula University of Technology from 2007 to 2008, earning a National Higher Certificate in Accounting with Cum Laude honors. In 2009, they continued their studies at Cape Peninsula University of Technology and obtained a National Diploma in Internal Auditing. Finally, in 2010, they completed their education at Cape Peninsula University of Technology with a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Internal Auditing, also with Cum Laude honors.

In addition to their formal education, Michael Laing obtained the Internal Audit Technician - IAT certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa in July 2014.
